The idea behind the project is to use similar techniques that the creative directors for the movie used. In the movie there are multiple shots of the Batman with a blurry and hazy background to get the viewer to focus on the Batman. This same technique is used in this poster. The Riddler's questionmark is big and covers the Batman, to symbolize that the Batman is thinking about the Riddler and the riddles a lot and that he feels that he isn't in control of the situation, but rather playing the Riddler's games. The background is bright and almost looks like it's on fire to symbolize that Gotham city is in bad conditions with high crime rates, with the Batman standing in front of it as the hero of the story.
